With the nationwide campaign “Sink Your Teeth Into It” for Kulturhusene i Danmark, we set the table in 16 culture houses across the country – and it was set for far more than just dinner.

We set the table for community, for conversation, and for encounters between people who might never have otherwise found themselves sitting side by side. It was an invitation to take part in democracy in an informal way: a series of political communal dinners leading up to the 2025 municipal elections.

Here, what we talked about mattered just as much as what we ate. Because when we share a meal, we also share stories, experiences, and opinions. When we break bread, we can break old habits. And when we taste new dishes with new people, we can also taste new ideas and perspectives.

“Sink Your Teeth Into It” was about making space for both the stomach and the viewpoints – and about sparking an appetite for new flavors, new communities, and new conversations.

The nationwide campaign was generously supported by Trygfonden and consisted of five phases: 1) concept development and visual identity, 2) core narrative, communication design, and campaign strategy, 3) a digital invitation campaign, 4) production and release of films documenting several “Sink Your Teeth Into It” events, and 5) an insights report.
