Right by Frederiksberg Runddel lies Riises Landsted. A beautiful, yellow building with great potential and an exciting history.

In 2025, KULTURENS consulted Frederiksberg Fonden in developing a new, visionary concept for Riises Landsted – with the ambition to gather creative entrepreneurs, the city's citizens, and existing cultural actors in a vibrant, shared cultural ecosystem.

The work was based on a thorough data collection and analysis of both local needs and international best practices. Building on an existing structure, we developed five different cases compiled into one report, each highlighting possible directions for the house's future function, identity, and interaction with the city.

The process drew on experiences from Danish cultural houses as well as inspiration from international examples. The result was not only a concrete decision-making basis for Riises Landsted – but also a generic model for the development of new cultural houses that can be applied in similar contexts moving forward.
