Matilde works in the intersection of people, culture, and organisational development. As the daily leader of Kulturhusene i Danmark, she operates in the national engine room, where the country’s culture houses are connected, strengthened, and developed. Her role spans both broadly and deeply: she operates strategically and relationally, both internally within the association and externally towards partners, politicians, and new stakeholders.

With a background in Danish and media, theatre, food culture, and community building at Villa Kultur, Matilde has specialized in creating spaces where people and ideas can meet. She is passionate about the communities that emerge in and around culture houses and works to develop formats where employees and actors can learn from each other and create new collaborations.

Matilde represents the culture houses nationally and internationally and works to ensure their continued relevance and development. She believes in the unique role of culture houses as open, experimental places where people can express themselves, be inspired, and create something greater together.
